As you may all well know, I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, commonly known as Mormons. Therefore, I’m a latter-day saint. Or in short, a saint… Yup.. I’m a saint.. =)
Anyway, saturday morning marked the 178th Annual General Conference. Today, marked the 178th birthday of the church. Furthermore, today is the birthday of Jesus Christ.
So about the solemn assembly. The prophet Gordon B. Hinckley died last January 27, 2008. He is the president of the church. So we have to sustain a new prophet. His name is President Thomas S. Monson. Coolness. This is the first time I attended a solemn assembly. And I think it’s cool. Everyone, by quorum sustains a prophet..
