How to survive college
Posted on February 11, 2008 under Life as it is...
Of course, you’ve heard it from the media that college is all about partying, hot guys, and partying. Did I mention partying? Well, the truth is it’s not all about fun and social life, college is more serious and more difficult than what you think. It’s all about the endless trip to the library and sleeping late.
Here are some useful tips that I hope can help you in surviving college.
1. Don’t cram
That’s the number 1 rule. On deadlines, always make sure you plan ahead. Cramming usually results to bad grades.
2. Get a job
After college, reality comes. So it’s better to experience it first hand and you would have an edge if your resume has a job experience.
3. Talk to your professor
It pays to visit and ask advices from professors. They can help you with your research work or even your thesis. After all, they are more experienced than you are and have been thru what you have been thru.
4. Get an online insurance
Being safe than be sorry is the golden rule. You have to be insured in case of fire, and other emergencies. You can find a lot of insurance types at EZ-InsurancePortal.com that will best suit your need.
5. Always be friendly
It’s not just about your social status, but you can actually ask people to help you if you are friendly to them. You don’t know when you need that techie guy or that friend from drama club.
